The project focused on redesigning the landing page for Waltham College's website while maintaining its current branding. The goal was to present the brand in a fresh and modern way without altering the existing structure and hierarchy of the page. This required creatively reimagining the college's visual identity to enhance its appeal and contemporary feel while preserving its core elements.
I aimed to retain as much orange as possible in the hero section to align with Waltham College's branding. However, finding suitable images with prominent orange elements was challenging since I lacked access to the college's assets, relying only on what I could extract using Chrome DevTools. This limitation pushed me to think creatively by highlighting orange elements in their existing photos to better represent their brand.
Another challenge I encountered was finding multiple unique ways to reconstruct a section that combined text and images, ensuring each variation felt distinct. To address this, I introduced some background triangles, adding a dynamic touch to the page while maintaining cohesion across sections.
I designed a refreshed landing page that stays true to their existing branding while creating visually appealing sections that engage users and highlight the Call to Action more effectively.
